HIGH PERFORMANCE CLEAR WATER AND STAIN REPELLENT

Repel It is a high-performance penetrating silane-siloxane sealer in a rapid dry formulation. Designed for application by spray, roller or dipping, Repel It allows rapid application over large areas in a single flood coat.

Repel It provides a long-lasting water and stain barrier and can be used on a wide variety of substrates such as concrete, masonry, pavers, natural stone, sandstone, slate, metal and timber.

Repel It contains two complementary silicones; a deeply penetrating Alkoxy Silane and a powerful Siloxane repellent, that react with the surface to form a protective barrier. Repel It is resistant to UV, heat and oxidisation. It provides protection from rebar corrosion, efflorescence, freeze/thaw damage, water penetration, oil penetration, mould and mildew.

Repel It is a clear coating and will enhance the natural colours in the substrate bringing dull surfaces to life. Repel It does not make the surface slippery or change the surface texture making it an ideal sealer for wet areas like pool surrounds and food service areas.

Repel It is a hydrophobic agent that acts to prevent liquid absorption, food and beverage and salt stains. It also offers added resistance to staining from oil-based contaminants and assists in the removal of substances like chewing gum and food.

Repel It creates a powerful water and liquid beading action on both porous and nonporous surfaces, which develops in as little as 4 hours after application. Tests have shown Repel It provides long term surface protection for metals and reduces or eliminates ‘tea bag’ staining on stainless steel caused by salt particles and other airborne pollution and particulates that settle on the surface. The use of Repel It makes it difficult for these particles to form a bond with the surface and they can easily be removed by rain or a light rinse with water.

Repel It does not form a film and will allow the surface to ‘breathe’. Moisture and air can migrate through the coating while it acts to stop the absorption of liquids into the surface.

Repel It is suitable for use on alkaline surfaces such as new concrete. It has excellent substrate wetting and penetration and provides the rapid development of water repellence.

Repel It can also be used for in-plant impregnation of building materials made of clay, fibrous cement, sand/lime bricks and blocks and lightweight concrete.

HELPFUL TIPS!

If exposed to weather, do not apply if rain is imminent. Do not apply to a wet surface or if the temperature is below 2°C or above 40°C. Applying the solution during cold weather, where there is limited or no air flow over the treated surface, may result in the surface failing to dry. In enclosed areas introducing air flow by using a fan will assist in curing.

NOTE

Protect from rain for at least 6 hours after application. If rain occurs during application stop and cover area immediately.

Repel It provides a long-lasting barrier for water and stain protection. Repel It is not recommended for application over non-porous surfaces which are to be painted or covered as adhesion of the paint or coating may be affected.

RECOMMENDATION 

Do not apply to wet surfaces
